The screen

How thick is the material?

500gsm and 3mm thick, in both the white premium and the grey.

How long does a screen last?

Our screens are tested to 200,000 golf shots. In practice, life depends on how hard the bay gets used and how well the screen is tensioned — a commercial bay running all day will wear a screen faster than a home build, and a slack screen wears faster than a taut one. Most venues replace on a nine to twelve month cycle.

How are the edges finished?

Every edge is folded back and twin-stitched. Eyelets are set through the doubled hem rather than single-layer material, because that join is where screens normally fail.

White or grey?

White premium gives the brightest image and suits a room you can darken. Grey holds contrast where there is ambient light you cannot block. The materials page has the comparison, and we post a free sample of the white premium.

Ordering

Can you make any size?

Yes. A seam is only needed when both the width and the height are over 3.2m. The configurator handles everything below that; seamed screens we quote by email instead. Send us the dimensions.

Can you replace a screen on a frame I already have?

Yes. That is most of what we do. Measure the screen you have — edge to edge, the finished size rather than the opening it hangs in — tell the configurator how it fixes on, and the new one is cut to match, with eyelets in the right places. TeeGo’s whole Hackney Wick venue was fitted this way.

What about my projector's aspect ratio?

Size the screen to the bay, then set the projected image inside it at your projector’s ratio, 4:3 or 16:9. In a dimmed room the unlit material around the image stays dark and reads as a border, so the screen being larger than the image is normal and correct.

Can I check the screen before it is made?

Yes. The configurator draws your screen to scale, with edges, fixings and eyelet positions marked. Nothing is cut until you approve that drawing.

Is the price on the drawing the final price?

Yes. Delivery and duty are included, so the configurator price is what you pay.

Delivery

How long until it arrives?

Your screen is delivered in 2 to 4 weeks once payment is received and your drawing is approved. That includes making it and shipping it to you. Once dispatched, delivery is next day in the UK and by air freight everywhere else.

Do you ship outside the UK?

Yes, worldwide. Delivery and duty are included in the configurator price, so there is nothing to pay on arrival.

Faults and reorders

What if something's wrong with it?

If a screen arrives with a manufacturing fault, send us a photo and we’ll sort it — replaced or refunded, and you don’t pay for it. Tell us within 20 days of delivery. After that a manufacturing fault and ordinary wear get hard to tell apart, because a screen in daily use wears fast. Ball-strike wear is the screen doing its job, not a fault. Your legal rights as a consumer are unaffected by anything on this page — what we replace, in full.

How do I reorder a replacement?

Your specification stays on file. A replacement is one line to us rather than another round of measuring.
